The Association of Illustrators, in partnership with Directory of Illustration, is pleased to announce the new Call for Submissions to the World Illustration Awards 2016.

We would love the chance to be featured on your website to spread the news, making sure we reach all illustrators from around the world and offer them a chance to promote their work through our networks.

The Association of Illustrators is a non profit organisation, founded in 1974 to promote illustration and protect illustrators rights. Along with this, for four decades now, the AOI has presented the most comprehensive and significant awards for illustration in the UK. After an incredibly successful first collaboration, we welcome back our international partner, the US based Directory of Illustration, to build on the success of the inaugural World Illustration Awards, honouring the most inspiring illustration throughout the world.

The awards call for any practising or new talent artist from all over the globe, where they can enter their commissioned or self initiated projects into one of the eight categories. Then a jury of international industry insiders will cast their votes over all entries and select the best work and category award winners. Winners will gain world-wide publicity for their work and recognition within the industry. Highlights of the shortlist will be featured in a touring exhibition, starting at Somerset House in London, and accompanying publication, which will be distributed to major commissioners. The AOI and Directory of Illustration will promote all shortlisted work to their global network of illustration networks and commissioners.
